Software licence agreement

SHEIK MUNIF & ASSOCIATES ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE · Version 2026-10

This agreement is between Sheik Munif & Associates, 61 Howrah Crest, Lautoka, Fiji ("we", "us") and the person or business installing or using the software ("you"). By clicking "I agree", installing or using the software you accept this agreement. If you do not agree, do not install or use the software.

1. Copyright and ownership

The software, including its program code, screens, designs, text, logo and documentation, is owned by Sheik Munif & Associates and is protected by the Copyright Act 1999 (Fiji) and international copyright treaties. © 2026 Sheik Munif & Associates. All rights reserved. You receive a licence to use the software; you do not buy or own it.

2. Your licence

Subject to this agreement and to paying any licence fee, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the software for the internal business of the licensee named in your licence key, during the period shown in that key. A new installation includes a free 30-day trial. When a trial or licence period ends without a valid licence key, the software becomes read-only: you can still open, view, print and export your books, but you cannot add or change entries until a valid key is entered.

3. What you must not do

You must not, and must not allow anyone else to:

(a) copy the software, except for one backup copy of the installer and backups of your own books;

(b) sell, rent, lend, share, sub-license or give the software or your licence key to anyone else;

(c) modify, translate, decompile, disassemble, unpack or reverse engineer the software, or try to obtain its source code;

(d) remove or change any copyright notice, licence information or "Licensed to" details;

(e) get around, disable or interfere with the licence key, trial or read-only controls;

(f) use the software to build a competing product.

4. Your data

The books, documents and other information you enter remain yours. On the desktop version your books are stored on your own computer. If you use cloud books, your data is stored with the cloud database provider used for the service and is only accessible to logins you or your administrator create. You are responsible for keeping regular backups.

5. Professional responsibility

The software is a tool to help you keep accounts and prepare VAT and tax figures. It does not replace professional advice. You remain responsible for checking all figures and for every return, schedule or payment you lodge with the Fiji Revenue and Customs Service (FRCS) or any other authority.

6. Warranty

We will try to keep the software accurate and up to date with Fiji tax rules, but it is provided "as is", without any warranty that it is free of errors or will meet all your needs. Nothing in this agreement excludes any right you have under Fiji law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss of profit, loss of data, penalties, interest or any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the software. Our total liability is limited to the licence fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Ending the licence

This licence ends automatically if you break this agreement. When it ends you must stop using the software, except to view and export your own books. Sections 1, 3, 5, 6, 7 and 9 continue after it ends.

9. Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of Fiji and the courts of Fiji have jurisdiction.
